Mumford and Sons to play London Olympics Park

Mumford & Sons the English Folk Rock band hailing from West London are to play one of the biggest ever headline concerts this summer in the London Olympic Village.

Mumford and Sons are made up of Marcus Mumford who is lead vovals and the rest of the band are are Ben Lovett, Winston Marshall, and Ted Dwane. Mumford and sons were formed in December 2007 and have been a huge success on both sides of the Atlantic and this upcoming show is much anticipated. They will play the Queen Elizabeth Olympic as part of their Gentlemen of the Road tour and they will also play over big UK and European Summer Festivals.

The band will headline the outdoor event, ‘The Summer Stampede’ on 6th July 2013, backed by an outstanding hand-picked line-up featuring Vampire Weekend, Ben Howard, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, HAIM, and Bear’s Den.

The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London show will form part of Mumford & Sons’ Summer Stampede series, which already includes shows in Dublin’s Phoenix Park, Kit Carson Park, Taos, New Mexico, and Glenn Helen Park, San Bernardino, CA

This is the final addition to a busy Summer for Mumford & Sons in the UK and Ireland, with headline performances at Glastonbury and T In The Park Festivals, alongside a huge outdoor show at Phoenix Park in Dublin, and their Gentlemen of the Road Stopover Shows in Lewes, East Sussex.
