Korn announce only UK Show in 2014 at London O2 Academy Brixton

Rockers Korn have announced they will play a one off UK show in 2014 at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on Friday 2nd May 2014. The show will be part of the Paradigm Shift Tour.

The show will be the first UK Headline show for 2 years and will also see the return of Brian Head Welch. Yes the the original Korn De-tuned Dual Guitar Attack is back!

Korn were formed in 1993 with the line up of Jonathan Davis, James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, and Brian “Head” Welch. Their sound was new and would change rock music for ever, the band worked hard both in the studio and on the live circuit.

Flash forward 20 years, and the band now have six studio album , two Grammy Award wins, countless sold out shows, and have sold in excess of 35 million albums worldwide.
Brian Head left the band in 2004 to treat personal issues. The band did carry on with out him Drummer Ray Luzier was added to the band in 2007 they released 4 more alvum the most recent being the 2011 ground-breaking dubstep-metal hybrid The Path of Totality.

In 2012, a triumphant and tear-filled reunion happened on stage as the group headlined the Carolina Rebellion festival with Head reprising his legendary part on “Blind.” The initial bond came back into focus, but it was time to change the game again. It was time for their eleventh studio album The Paradigm Shift (out now). Recorded with producer Don Gilmore [Linkin Park], it melds the group’s ever-present spirit of innovation with their signature metallic catharsis, paving the way for the future yet again.

Korn’s only UK show precedes further dates to their European tour in May 2014.
