Adele Billboard award Adele Top Artist Of The Year

The star received the title for the second time and picked up three gongs.
Adele may be taking a break from music following the birth of her son, but it hasn’t stopped her winning awards. The Skyfall singer picked up three gongs at the Billboard Magazine Awards in the US – where she was named top artist of 2012, as well as being crowned top female artist.
Her record – breaking album ‘21’ was also honoured at the bash, receiving the top album accolade.
The 24 year old is the first musician to win both top artists titles two years in a row.
Following behind Adele, Rihanna was second in the 2012 top artist category while Tatylor Swift was in third.
Other big winners included Drake – who was crowned top male artist by the music publication – with Maroon 5 being named top group.
One Direction also took home a gong, picking up the prize for top new artist, while Mumford & Sons topped the rock, alternative and folk album and artist categories.
