ULTERIOR return with new album and single ‘The Locus of Control’ ? VIDEO
Consisting of brothers Paul and Benn McGregor aka Honey and MCG and additional sonic malice from Bass guartist Mickey J Ellis and guitarist Paul Simmons, ULTERIOR release their malevolent second album ‘THE BLEACH ROOM‘ on 7th January 2013.
Recorded and produced by Robert Harder (Kylie Minogue, Neneh Cherry David Byrne and Brain Eno), THE BLEACH ROOM is an album of forceful ambition and naked intent that stands to be loved or hated as in an unequivocal ULTERIOR fashion.
Known for there début single “Weapons” in 2008, Ulterior have been working hard to make their return after bass guitarist Januskevicius left the band in 2009. After citing health and personal problems, the band replaced Januskevicius with the talented Mickey J Ellis, and appeared in many printed press articles, to keep their profile alive.
A much welcome return show the boys first single to be taken from the album is THE LOCUS OF CONTROL. In the words of frontman Paul McGregor the track was written “after a day reading medical papers and then seeing a piece on the news about religious female circumcision that angered me and disgusted me to my core”
