Tinie Tempah wins Nordoff Robbins Silver Clef Award
It has been announced today that Nordoff Robbins will be honouring Tinie Tempah with the TAG: Design & Interactive ‘Best Newcomer’ Award. He will be presented the award at the Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards Lunch which takes place on Friday 1st July 2011, at the London Hilton. Nordoff Robbins is the charity of the UK Music Industry, The charity use music to transform the lives of vulnerable people. Tinie will receive his award from comedian Matt Lucas
Tinie Tempah has had an amazing year, he won 2 Brit Awards and has had 2 number ones with Pass-Out and Wrriten in the Stars, he also released his debut album Disc-Overy which went straight to number one in the UK Album Charts. Tinie has also being acknowledged by some of the biggest players in R&B as he has toured with both Jay-Z and Rhianna, he has even got his own clothing brand “Disturbing London”
The award ceremony will be hosted by Sun Columnist and TV Presenter Jane Moore. As well as Tinie Tempah’s award there will also be 7 other awards announced, and also there will be a charity auction of music music memorabilia.
The annual Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards Lunch has been running since 1975 and has raised over £8m. Previous winners include Muse, JLS , The Who, Elton John, Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, Sting, Take That and many more .
