The Wombats And Ms Dynamite To Headline Shrewsbury Fields Forever

We at Love Music News had an absolute blast at the first ever Shrewsbury Fields last year, and are pleased to announce it is returning for 2012 and it is bigger than ever! The first acts confirmed for this 3 day festival are Ms Dynamite and The Wombats.

Ms Dynamite has a host of awards under her belt from Brits to MOBO’s and has collaborated with some of the most fresh and current stars on the music scene- Redlight, Magnetic Man and Katy B. Her latest offering “Neva Soft” has been produced by Labyrinth, and with his cool-current production and her award winning voice it is a sure bet for a hit. Ms Dynamite will be on the main stage on Saturday 15th performing hits such as “It takes more”, “Wile out” and “Dy-na-mi-tee”

Headliners for Saturday night are The Wombats, who have had huge success and received critical acclaim for their first album “Guide to love loss and desperation”. Following a two year tour they came back with their second album “This modern glitch” in 2010. The album entered the charts at number 3, and with tracks such as “Tokyo (vampires and wolves)” and “Jump into the fog” it’s no surprise that it’s on its way to being a platinum seller.

This year’s festival is a combination of the great things from last year, and new, fresh ideas for year two. The festival will open to campers on Friday 14th, with live music in the evening. There will be a full day of music on Saturday, with multiple arenas/ stages, followed by a day of acoustic music and comedy on the Sunday.

Festival organiser Dene Edwards says: “We are really excited about this year’s event. Last year laid a good foundation to what we really want to do with the festival in the future, starting with this year’s event.

“The festival is set to become one of the jewels in the county’s crown, alongside the Folk Festival, Flower Show, West mid show and Quarry concerts and has seen revellers from all four corners of the UK- including Ireland attend last year.

“For a very limited time we will be offering people the chance to buy Earlybird tickets at £30- £48 for the weekend with camping as well as individual day tickets for those who could only make the one day or perhaps only wanted to see the comedy. We have already sold a significant amount without even announcing any acts so expect to see the Earlybird tickets to sell out in record time this year”.

We at Love Music News will keep you posted as and when more acts are announced, so watch this space……
