The Who to tour QUADROPHENIA in 2013 Arena Shows

The Who are returning to the UK in 2013 and they will be touring playing their epic Quadrophenia show during a Full UK Arena tour in 2013.
The Who are one of the godfathers of rock and their groundbreaking double album Quadrophenia set the tone for the nation when it was first released in 1973. 40 years on it still sounds as revolutionary as it did then.
The Who are promising to play the whole album in full as well as other Who classics.
The Who have been touring North America this past year and it is great to see them bring the show back to the UK fans after received critical aclaim from both the US Music Press and Fans alike.
Music Press Like Rolling Stone said

“QUADROPHENIA is their (The Who’s) boldest and most fully realized albums,” “but it’s never quite gotten the live show it deserves – until now”.

Quadrophenia is known as a rock opera and it was the second such opera after their first Tommy. The Who are a massive influence on UK fashion style and culture. Celebs influenced by the band include Paul Weller, Paul Smith, Noel Gallagher and even cyclist Bradley Wiggins!
IGN listed the album as the greatest classic rock album of all time. Q magazine listed it on the 100 greatest british albums ever.
Some of the biggest hits on the album include “The Real Me,” “5:15” and “Love Reign o’er Me.”The_Who[1]

The who were formed in 1964, 4 guys with different personalities which when formed together produced music dynamite. The band from Wildman Drummer Keith Moon, to bassist John Entwistle. the intellectual Pete Townshend on guitar, and the swagger of Roger Daltrey leading the band. They questioned existing convention of what is possible on stage, and in the recording studio.

Phil Daniels, Ray Winstone, Trevor Laird and Lesley Ash. The film was one of the most successful independent British movies.

The upcoming tour of QUADROPHENIA, Is being directed by Roger Daltrey, it will contain orginal stage artwork and use big secreens to support the music, but the music will be the focus with less narritative like the stage show.

The Who’s tour will include founding members ROGER DALTREY and PETE TOWNSHEND, who will be joined by Zak Starkey (drums), Pino Palladino (bass), Simon Townshend (guitar/backing vocals), John Corey (keyboards), Loren Gold (keyboards/backing vocals) and Frank Simes (musical director, keyboards/backing vocals).

The Quadrophenia tour starts on June 8th in Dublin Ireland, it reaches the UK on 12th June 2013 in Glasgow at the SECC. The huge show in London at the O2 Arena will be on 15th June 2013. The tour will include shows in Birmingham, Manchester and Cardiff amongest others and the tour is scheduled to end on
30th June 2013 at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Tickets for the Who Quadrophenia shows go on sale from 1st Febuary 2013 for the usual outlets.
