Stooshe Confirms first headline shows at the Proud Cabaret

New pop sensations Stooshe confirm first headline shows at the Proud Cabaret, Tower Hill, on April 17th

Currently cruising up into this weeks top 10 with their breakthrough single ‘Love Me’, new pop sensations Stooshe can now confirm details of their first ever headline shows at the Proud Cabaret in Tower Hill on April 17th.

The Proud Cabaret shows represents the first chance to see the boisterous, mischievous, outgoing and witty trio – Alex Buggs, Courtney Rumbold and Karis Anderson – in action in a decent 1920s style speak-easy which exudes the illicit glamour of a bygone era. They’ll play an early show with doors opening at 5.30pm followed by an evening show which opens at 9pm.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday March 8th and are available from www.aeglive.com at a price of £8 for the early performance and £12 for the later show.

Produced by Future Cut (Lily Allen, Professor Green, Wretch32), Stooshe’s current single ‘Love Me’ bursts with playful lyrics and another irresistible, bold hook. Complementing the trio’s tight, characteristic vocals is a guest rap courtesy of Travie McCoy, who enjoyed a huge solo hit with his Bruno Mars collaboration ‘Billionaire’, four Top 10 hits with his band Gym Class Heroes and another as guest on Taio Cruz’s single ‘Higher’.

Stooshe shot to fame when the video for their debut single ‘Betty Woz Gone’ became YouTube’s most viewed music video in the UK when it received 100,000 views on the day of its initial upload. Since then, they’ve received over a million online views split between their YouTube site and special sessions recorded for iD, SBTV, MTV and Virgin, while positive press coverage has come from a diverse array of publications including The Independent, The Daily Star, RWD, The Mirror and Top of the Pops. Their popularity amongst other artists was demonstrated when their video for ‘Betty Woz Gone’ won the approval of Ed Sheeran, Rizzle Kicks and Wretch 32, and they were also longlisted for the BBC’s Sound of 2012.

Stooshe are three brilliantly distinct personalities, as attainable as they are aspirational. Doing away with outdated ideas, when it comes to who they are and the music they make, Stooshe are determinedly deconstructing stereotypes. Packed full of provocative, punchy wordplay, cutting-edge choruses and three incredible vocals, their sound is as bold as it is edgy. Filling a huge gap in the girl band market, Stooshe deliver a ‘90s sensibility with a futuristic sound
