shrewsbury fields forever festival 2012 Preview

Any festival in my home town gets me excited. Fact. However, one that can bring the likes of The Wombats, The Sunshine Underground, The Utah Saints, The Taste and The Clocktower together for one event gets me really excited!
SFFF is a three day indie, dance and comedy event with (literally) something for everyone. It kicks off on Friday night with the likes of Sonny Wharton taking over the dance tent as a sick little warm up! One of my favourite bands The Taste will be headlining the main stage Friday night, playing alongside local bands The Making and MK Zero….. That is just the Friday night!!!
Gates open at around 12pm on Saturday, with the likes of the awesome Fight the Bear, Simon and Oscar from Ocean Colour Scene, The Clocktower, Danny Byrd and The Utah Saints play alongside Ms Dynamite, The Sunshine Underground and The Wombats. What a line up eh?!
Sunday sees SFFF turn its hand to comedy, with a sort of “JestFest”. Consisting of the likes of Mark Watson, Lucy Porter, Andrew Maxwell, Lucy Porter and Lily Juniper among others, “JestFest” is going to be the perfect way to end a blinding festival!
Combined with an abundance of food and drink options, as well as stalls and a funfair, there is plenty about to keep you entertained across the weekend should you fancy getting away from the main stage or the arenas.
SFFF Is only in its second year, but the rate in which it has grown is phenomenal. I cannot wait to finish work on Friday, and get down there, ready for what will (probably) be my last festival of 2012.
