“Forged from some of the county’s finest promoters, whilst lending a hand to charity, it will be a weekend to remember”.
The first Shrewsbury Fields Forever Festival is being held at The West Mid Showground in Shrewsbury, Shropshire on weekend of 17-18th September 2011. The site itself is ideal for music events- with ample space for multiple stages and camping facilities, and of course, plenty of space for parking. 10,000 tickets are available, and with a line-up like this, they are going to move fast!

The festival site will be split into various “zones”- camping, main stage, Invasion dance arena, Subsoundz dance arena and the charity village/entertainment .
The full line-up has not yet been released and we will keep you updated as and when more acts are announced. So far, acts confirmed are;
Main Stage
Over the two days the main stage will feature some of the finest talent in indie, rock, punk and alternative music. Including- The Charlatans, Fenech-Soler, Friends Electric, Like Fires, The Taste, Talk and Masters in France.
Invasion Dance Arena
Over the two days the Invasion dance arena will bring together some of the most talented and influential DJ’s of the moment. Acts lined up so far include; Sonny Wharton, Kissy Sell Out, Sparky Dog, Dene no rhythm, DJx2, Matt Wedderkop, Jon Harvey and Karlos Cheadle.
Subsoundz Dance Arena
Again, full line-up to be announced, but with acts like these already confirmed you can guarantee this is going to be one hell of a festival!! Chase &Status, Tricky, Monchi, H2Flo, Bansho, Hoffy, Double XL, Jaunty Bass and Dribbz will be hitting the dance arena over the course of the weekend- I challenge anyone not to be impressed with that line-up!
If this was not enough to keep you entertained over the course of the weekend there will also be a Silent Disco Garden, where the finest local DJ’s will be broadcasting over three channels- so you can put your headphones one, choose your music and dance until your heart’s content. If you don’t fancy the silent disco, I am sure it is very entertaining to go and watch a bunch of random people busting some crazy-ass dance moves in total silence!
A funfair will be on site to entertain you in-between acts (just hopefully not after you have just eaten!).
There will be a number of food and drink stalls available including dedicated sit down areas, somewhere where you can sit down with your beer and grub and enjoy the superb talent going on around you!
There will also be some fantastic arts and craft stalls dotted around the festival site which will no doubt keep you entertained and amused.
The great thing about Shrewsbury Fields Forever is that although this will be the first event, they have chosen to help out local and national charities. There will be a number of games and activities including obstacle courses and gladiator courses, so that whilst donating money to some incredibly worthy causes- you can have fun!
Shrewsbury Fields Forever Festival really is going to help put Shropshire on the map! With OsFest, Firefly Festival, Quarry Fest and many more, it is about time we showed the country that we know how to put on a bloody good show!
This may well be its first year, but I have no doubt that it will be back for more!
