Reverend & The Makers Announce Autumn Tour

Love Music News are pleased to announce that Reverend & The Makers will be touring in October 2012.

Here at Love Music News there is nothing more exciting than announcing artists tour/new  from our home towns. Reverend & The Makers are an indie pop band based in ‘The Steel City’ of Sheffield.  Front man Jon McClure nicknamed ‘The Reverend’ brought several musicians together to create ‘The Makers’ in 2005, and were signed to Wall of Sound Records after sharing a light with founder Mark Jones in a London Club.

Since then Reverend & The Makers have supported  fellow Sheffield band Arctic Monkeys and American alternative rock band Red Hot Chilli Peppers as well as playing at Glastonbury Festival, Carling Weekend, T in the Park,  and T4 on the beach, as well as producing ‘Heavyweight Champion of the World’ on download only, and touring the UK. Unfortunately the band hit bad times when their drummer Richy Westley left to start his own band and the front man Jon McClure decided he was going to leave the band.

However the band are now solid and ready to perform again, and have  announced an extensive headline tour of the UK in October following the quick sell out of their dates in May. These shows will be in support of the band’s third album, entitled ‘@reverend_makers’, scheduled for release on 18th June 2012. It is also the first commercial album to be named after an artist’s Twitter tag.

They will also be supporting Red Hot Chili Peppers at Knebworth Park and Sunderland’s Stadium Of Light this summer – details below.

Frontman Jon McClure said “Made up to play live again with the Makers! Been way too long. And after we’ve been on tour with Noel we should be super on it! Dancefloor goodness! See ya there x”
