Live and Unsigned 2012 returns to find next big thing
Live and Unsigned return early next year to a venue near you. Live and unsigned is the biggest music competion for unsigned artist and is open to all forms of music from Pop to Indie, to rock to RnB. Auditions are happening in the new year and Love Music News will be on the judging panel.
The final of Live and Unsigned will again be at the O2 Arena in London and there is prizes totalling £100,000 and like last year is expected to attract thousands of entrants. As well as the £100,000 in prizes the winner will also get £10,000 to spend on their development.
The finalists can also expect to get slots at Music Festivals next summer last year we spotted Live and Unsigned finalist Lucy Spraggan performing at Osfest . This year there are festival slots to win in Canada , Italy, Latvia and Dublin. They will also take part in the grand final which is part of Live Fest, the indoor music festival at thew O2.
All acts are auditioned live there is no demos or submissions. Once past the audition stage acts will pefrom in front of industry judges, A&R Associates, celebrity guests at some of the UK’s top venues. Judges last year included Radio 1 DJ’s Annie Nightingale, Tom Deacon and Daniel P Carter, Kerrang’s Alex Baker and Happy Mondays star Bez, and this it will include us, Yes Love Music News will be judging !
Live and unsigned was won last year by the Trinity Band from Derby, thye played alongside the likes of Chase and Status, Example and Chipmunk since they won the award and are working on their debut signle.
