Latitude Festival 2012 announces Bon Iver, Elbow and Paul Weller are all set to headline at their 7th Edition.

Latitude are very proud to unveil the seventh edition of Latitude, the UK’s favourite multi-arts festival, which takes place at Henham Park in Suffolk from 12-15th July

On Friday 13th July, Bon Iver Grammy award winning folk band from america will close Latitude’s Obelisk Arena in his first major headline slot and only UK festival appearance in 2012. BBC Olympics theme composers Elbow will top the bill on Saturday, while Paul Weller  English singer/songwriter will bring Latitude 2012 to a crescendo on Sunday 15th July.

World famous concert pianist, Lang Lang, will make his outdoor festival debut at Latitude 2012. His exclusive guest appearance will see him perform against the spectacular lakeside backdrop of Latitude’s floating The Waterfront Stage. Joining Lang lang with be the likes of Metronomy an electronic music group formed by Joseph Mount, Laura Marling an English Folk musician, Janelle Monáe an american R&B/Soul Musician, Richard Hawley a guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer and special guest Bat for Lashes aka Natasha Khan an English musician.

Melvin Benn, festival director, said: “This year’s line-up will once again see a bill of sensational artists at the peak of their careers.

“Having someone like Lang Lang is a major event for any festival for what is, in effect, the first classical pianist to have a headline slot.

“I did an economic impact study in 2010 and the immediate area is said to benefit from around £12m, which is pretty significant and the economic benefits are quite real.”
