Last year saw Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters and Kasabian headlining the Island festival! This year organiser Giddings has gone for pure American rock legends in the shape of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Pearl Jam and The Boss himself Bruce Springsteen…

Funny Fact: In 1971 Parliament passed ‘The Isle of Wight Act’ this act prevents gatherings of more than 5,000 people on the island without a special license. This was a reaction to the 1970 event when a rumoured 600,000 people flocked to see Jimi Hendrix in the 2nd ever IOW Fest!
Likely to See: A lot 40/50 something’s reliving their youth going crazy to this legendary line-up “I’ve still got it”
Unlikely to See: A dry weekend! The Island historically holds on to its mainland roots and provides a British Summer!
