Global Gathering 2011 Line-Up Raises The Game For UK Dance Festivals
In an unassuming field in the heart of Stratford-Upon-Avon, an annual gathering happens. A gathering of beat-hungry ravers flocking to congregate in the one of many arenas hosted by the finest names in electronic music, this country and beyond has to offer. A new site layout, new production and site packed with top name DJs and artists looks set cement itself as the best dance festival the UK has to offer.
Headlined by the epic Underworld, Pendulum and Chase and Status – who return to Global Gathering 2011 to deliver yet another show-stopping performance – the atmosphere looks set to be just as electric as the bass and beats pumped from the speakers.
The Main Stage will host the party mash-up Jaguar Skills, Tinie Tempah and crowd-pleaser Steve Angello, with Yasmin of ‘Runaway’ and ‘On My Own’ fame, performing live. One third of house legends Swedish House Mafia, Axwell will be playing along with Alex Metric, Labrinth and Professor Green in a line-up that leave last year’s in the shade.
After taking dance-floors by storm the world over, impressive beat-smiths Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Eddie Halliwell and James Zabelia will pepper the stages, set to play to thousands of fans across the two day festival. With tents hosted by the top record labels in the industry across a total of 14 DJ packed arenas; Global Gathering 2011 looks like it’s going to blow the roof on all expectations.
Radio 1 residents Annie Mac and Jaymo & Andy George will be joined in the Wax:On tent by Ed Banger favourites Boys Noize and futuristic bass-head Jack Beats, for the finest eclectic electro speakers will allow. Down at Hospitality, D&B legends Andy C and High Contrast will be playing alongside old-school rave master Danny Byrd and the hotly tipped London Elektricity, Netsky and Brookes Bros whose remix skills have livened up tracks from Chase and Status to Wretch 32.
The packed arenas span styles from drum & bass at the Hospitality tent; dub and grime at Rinse; Balearic house at God’s Kitchen and dubstep at Metropolis – as the only festival for true party music. With futuristic garage to minimal tech, tropical bass to upfront house and everything bass rumbling in between – pumped out to thousands of party-seeking festival goers – Global Gathering 2011 looks set to be a year to remember.
