Fall Out Boy Reunite

Fall Out Boy announced their reunion last week and to the joy of all their fans. The last album was released by the band four years ago titled Folie à Deux.

According to VH1, the band has a new single, video, album and a small tour planned in the near future with multiple intimate shows for their long-time fans.

The band promised their fans that they will not be just a redo of the 2003 style, and, 10 years later, they promise to be stronger, tighter and produce better music together.

In an interview with VH1, Fall Out Boy band members Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley sat down to talk about the reunion:

“I think that music dictated the return. We definitely wanted to make new music and we wanted to make new songs that people would be able to embrace, and hopefully relate to. We tried a couple times in the past year and it wasn’t necessarily gelling, and then we tried again and it seemed like w were making something that was a little more compelling” Said Pete Wentz. Patrick Stump then added “2003 will never come back, so we wanted to try and figure out, like, the thing that would be exciting now. I kind of feel when you own the glory days too much, it’s disrespectful to them, you know?”

As reported by MTV, the band dropped their new single last week called “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light ‘Em Up).” In addition, Fall Out Boy are set to release their fifth album on May 7 2013 titles Save Rock And Roll.

The first live performance is scheduled for February 16 during the NBA All-Star weekend. The band is scheduled to perform in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Paris, London, Berlin, Sydeny and Melbourne, with tickets selling fast, most venues were sold out within minutes.
