Conor Maynard announces Summer Tour and New single ‘Vegas Girl’
I was driving in the rain last week when my passenger started singing word for word ‘Vegas Girl’. The chorus was quite seductive to your ears, and i found myself really enjoying the track, but didn’t want to ask who the artist was because that would have made me look uncool, but not only that i presumed it had been released a while ago, due to them being able to sing word perfect, what I didn’t realise at that point was i was sat with a die hard Conor Maynard fan
So it was great to receive a press release this week, announcing to release of ‘Vegas Girl’ by Conor Maynard. This single has to be his best yet, it’s backing track makes you want move but the lyrics seduce you in a way that you want to shake like a Vegas girl.
The new single is due to come out on 23rd July 2012, and as it has over 100,000 view on you tube this looks like it will go straight into the top ten if not straight to number one.
‘Vegas Girl’ is the follow-up to his smash-hit debut single, ‘Can’t Say No’, which slammed into the charts at no.2 in April and has sold 200,000 copies in the UK to date, alongside combined global video views of more than 10 million.
‘Vegas Girl’ is another slice of urban electro-pop, written and produced by Conor with the Invisible Men, and precedes Conor Maynard’s debut album, ‘Contrast’, which is released on July 30th on Parlophone Records.
Conor has also travelled all over Europe and North America recently on a non-stop whirlwind promo tour, being greeted with fan hysteria wherever he went, including having to move hotels in Toronto due to the madness of teenage girls outside.
So it’s no surprise that he’s now had more than 90 million online video views, almost 400,000 Facebook fans and over 275,000 Twitter followers. Those figures will continue to grow exponentially with the release of his album around the globe.
Conor will also be setting out on a headline summer tour of British towns. Ticket prices for all shows are £13.50 Full dates are as follows:
