The bbk festival takes place on July 7th 8th 9th 2011 and is a great alternative for festival goers to explore different cultures, with a superb soundtrack to accompany their stay. Since the original debut line up, Bilbao bbk have continued to attract some of the biggest names on the festival circuit such as Red Hot Chilli Peppers, REM, Primal Scream, Paul Weller and Editors to name but a few festival favourites to grace the bbk festival.
Bilbao bbk Festival 2011 is promising to be equally as good as the previous year’s, with a line up to suite all genres of music lovers. Headlining the three day festival on the Thursday will be the no other than the multiple award winners Coldplay. With four successful albums behind them, and a new album due in 2011, they will not be short of a few magical music moments to galvanise the crowd as the sun sets. Sharing the billing on the Thursday will be appearances from the American rock band Blondie, British Beady Eye, Canadian electronic band Crystal Castles, Spanish Russian Red, Ken Zazpi, American alternative rock band Neon Trees and more to be announced.
Winner of Five Grammies the talented Amy Winehouse will be headlining Friday, alongside rock band Kasabian, Indie band Kaiser Chiefs, Vetusta Morla, Dance punk band !!!, The Mars Volta, TV On The Radio, Indie rock band Noisettes and Zarama.
With Nine studio albums and Thirty Million albums sold, American rock band The Black Crowes will be headlining Saturday night. Also on the day will be British Electronica duo The Chemical Brothers, American folk rock singer songwriter Jack Johnson, 30 Seconds To Mars, Spanish rock band M Clan and the American blues musician with his personalized guitars, Seasick Steve.
