Bell X1 Bloodless Coup released April 4th New London Show Announced

Gaining a solid cult following since their inception back in 2000, Irish legends Bell X1 are proud to announce their return to the live circuit in support of new album, “Bloodless Coup.”, out on April 4th.
A return to a more traditional way of recording (write, rehearse, live record), “Bloodless Coup” is an introspective affair, ruminating on how “ momentous change often happens in subtle or benign or lateral ways.” and how “through friendships and shared human experience, the good will win out.”
Again displaying their characteristic sound of mixing electronic elements in with rocky vocals, this album marks the welcome of two new member’s, Rory Doyle on drums and Marc Aubele on keys and guitar. However, fans will be reassured to know that very little else has changed, Paul Noonan’s voice as infectious as ever as he travels through social commentaries to more personal introspective songs like, “Nightwatchmen” and “74 Swans”. The albums lead single is “Velcro”, a fitting track about sticking together and working hard through the tough times.
After the success of last album “Flock”, it seems Bell X1 have a lot to prove. Selling so many copies prompted the band to set up their own label, Belly Up records, giving them complete control over their creative output. Hailed by the likes of Vanity Fair who heralded their US arrival as an international phenomenon and the New York Daily News who said, “Paul Noonan has sweated out enough smart work to make him one of pop’s most promising writers,” the band show no signs of stopping, and “Bloodless Coup” may just be the next stage in their plan for World Domination.

In support of the new album, Bell X1 will be coming to London and Glasgow this May:
Mon 16 May – Glasgow King Tut’s
Tue 17-May – London Scala

Tickets are £15.00 for London – on sale now –
Their new single ‘Velcro’ is out now.
