Beach Break 2012 Preview

BEACH BREAK 2012 – The UK Student Festival

Beach Break now in its sixth year has today announced it’s biggest and best line-up to date… with: CHASE & STATUS… DIZZEE RASCAL… And FRIENDLY FIRES the three day headliners.

As well as these three huge British acts, Beach Break has drawn in support from the likes of… Nero, Maverick Sabre, Deliah, Ben Howard, Labrinth, Wrecth 32 & loads more.

At just £109 for students (& graduates) and £129 for anyone else… these 3 nights of music and 4 nights of mayhem are a massive bargain!

The festival is situated in ‘Pembrey Country Park’ South Wales and as its name suggests, yes you’ve guessed it is right on a beach…

So from the 14th June to the 18th June you could be spending your days indulging in some extreme sports that will blow your hangover out the water! Get stuck into kite surfing, land sailing and windsurfing, as well as a 130 metre dry ski slope, the longest toboggan run in Wales, Zorbing assault courses just to mention a few. If this doesn’t take your fancy just chill out on the beach and let the day drift away….

The 3 headliners should be enough to tell you the nights are going to be just as good. Chase & Status are an amazing live act and from their two albums ‘More than a lot’ & ‘No More Idols’ have more than another hits to deliver a huge performance!

Boy in the Corner Dizzee Rascal needs no introduction and will no doubt provide energy charisma and a all bonkers performance (apologies on the cheesey predictable line there) but it will be!!! From his old-school hits such as Jezebel he has transformed from a raw talent into a polished worldwide star and won’t be missed!

Closing the festival is in my opinion one of the most underrated bands in the country… Friendly Fires. The St Albans 3 piece are INCREIBLE, as anyone who has 2011 album ‘PALA’ will testify, ‘Hawaiian Air’, ‘Hurting’, ‘Blue Cassette’, and ‘True Love’ are all beautiful… Also if you’ve ever seen them live, Ed Macfarlane has to be one of the best most charismatic front -men in the business. His dancing is outrageous in a spectacular way! I haven’t even mentioned their huge self-titled debut album yet (well I just did)!

Enjoy people… oh and to mention it is an over 18 event. For more information visit www.beachbreaklive.com
