INXS Announce Guest Vocalists for Southern Sounds

INXS have announced JD Fortune and Loane as guest vocalists for their Southern Sounds festival headline slot.

Since having earned his place as the band’s frontman via the CBS reality TV show Rock Star: INXS in 2005, Fortune enjoyed a short break from his work with the rock ‘n’ rollers until reuniting with them at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.

Loane, meanwhile, is a Parisian pianist who’s debut album, Jamais Seule, earned her widespread critical acclaim and a Song of the Year award, as voted for by French television viewers. In 2010 she recorded a French version of the INXS song Mystify, and her second album, Le Lendemain, released earlier this year, includes a duet with Lenny Kravitz.

Other bands sharing the main stage at Southern Sounds this Saturday include Shihad, I Am Giant, Goldfish and Just Jinjer. Meanwhile, you can catch the likes of Dane Rumble, Jayson Norris, Krafty Kuts and Freestylers at the Homelanz and Crooked Arenas.
