Kasabian announce the release of their New Album Velociraptor

Kasabian have revealed that their fourth studio album will be called Velociraptor!, contains 11 tracks and will be released on 19 September.

Kasabian came together in Leicester in 1999, and since then they have produced three awesome studio albums, Kasabian (2004), Empire(2006)  and West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum(2009) all three albums have received positive feedback from critics and this one doesn’t look to be any different. With some of their music being used for console games and TV show ‘Alias’, it looks like Velociraptor will be no different with one song titled ‘Green Fairy’ featuring on the London Boulevard soundtrack.

Kasabian played their new single ‘Switchblade Smiles’ on Zane Lowe’s Radio One show but if you missed it your able to listen again on Kasabain’s website just follow the link  http://soundcloud.com/kasabian/switchbladesmiles/s-IYn4g

Tom Meighan on leads vocals said “Switchblade Smiles is a warning sign basically,We’ve got this tune that reminds me of a KRS-One hook.”

Tom also shared information regarding another song saying “We’ve got a love song on there, Goodbye Kiss, which is a heartbreaker. A lot of people are going to break up to it and probably get married to it.” but asked that fans shouldn’t expect to hear too many any new songs over the summer.

He said: “We’ll play Switchblade Smiles and Velociraptor! It’s nice to give the audience a little taste of what’s to come. When the record’s out, it’ll be a whole new record.”
