Going from strength to strength their FWD>> vs Rinse nights have sold out arenas around the country, delivering top line-ups and the Rinse Arena at GlobalGathering is no different.
Passionate about youth-orientated music culture, Rinse seeks to represent the diverse face of London’s underground scene. Being responsible for some of the biggest talent in the grime, UK funky, dubstep and nustep scenes, it’s only right that they should host an arena at the UK’s premier dance festival this year.
With an eviable line-up of the hottest names in UK underground music right now, the Rinse Arena on Friday 29th July looks set to be packed:
Dubstep super-producers Benga and Skream as two-thirds of Magnetic Man will be headlining the Rinse arena on Friday, showcasing a set of seminal classics and pioneering new material. Delivering their unmistakable blend of speaker fracturing bass and individual work, expect back-to-back tunes from the original dubstep duo.
Next on the list is Boy Better Know made up of Skepta, JME, Frisco, Jammer, Maximum & Shorty. Promising animated vocals that blend solo projects with their work as collective Boy Better Know, expect old sing-along material such as ‘Duppy’ and ‘Too Many Men’, with enough energy to get the crowd sweating.
After her recent duo with dubstep queen Katy B on ‘Lights On’, old school legend Ms. Dynamite will be gracing the stage performing tracks including her anthem ‘Fire’ and older classics ‘Boo’. Joined by Geenus and Tippa and Newham Generals who’ll be delivering garage-based vibes to the crowd, Zinc‘s infectious crack house beats will definitely limber up the Rinse Arena crowd on the Friday.
Championing a new-garage sound is the hotly-anticipated Roska & Jamie George, whose fresh take on garage beats bring a futuristic slant to the arena. Roska’s remix of Zed Bias’ Neighbourhood cements him on the map as one to watch for 2012. Likewise with dubstep heavyweights Plastician & P Money who take over to pump up the crowd with a set that looks set to have the speaker stacks reverberating beyond doubt.
If you still want a dance after all of that, then last but by no means least is Brackles and Oneman. Going head-to-head for a set that is sure to fuse unexpected crowd-pleasers with dirty beats, bass and funky we challenge you not to party with these two in the house.
With a line-up this hot in the Rinse Arena, it’s sure to go off as the only destination for UK underground music at GlobalGathering.
