Professor Green and Chipmunk Confirm T in the Park
T in the Park have added Urban acts Chipmunk, Professor Green, Labrinth, OFWGKTA and Wretch 32 to their line-up.
With organisers of T in the park only just announcing the US megastar Beyonce will be performing, this new group of urban acts adds to be a fantastic weekend.
The weekend takes place in eight weeks time in Balado in Kinross-shire between 8th – 10th July.
Hackney Born Professor Green Said “T in the Park was one of the few festivals that I didn’t get to play last year, I love Scotland so I was delighted to get an invite to perform.”
He added: “Scottish crowds go mad and they are really receptive. I look forward to bringing my band, all the hits and having a beer.”
Professor Green will undoubtedly be preforming some of his best songs from his album Alive til I’m dead which reach number two in the charts.
This will be Chipmunks first appearance at T in the Park, the 20 years old singer has successfully released five top ten hits including number one hit Oopsy Daisy. Chipmunk latest album Transition which includes his hit single Champion with Chris Brown was released in April 2011.
Singer/songwriter and producer Labrinth has already achieved number one and number two smash hit singles Pass Out andFrisky in collaboration with fellow rapper and confirmed T in the Park artist Tinie Tempah, before his own debut single Let the Sun Shine.
OFWGKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) are an alternative hip-hop collective led by the controversial Tyler the Creator. OFWGKTA includes rappers Hodgy Beats, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis, Mike G, singer Frank Ocean, producers Left Brain, Syd the Kyd (who is also the group’s engineer) and Matt Martians and other non-musical members.
Tyler’s second full length album ‘Goblin’ is was released in May 10 and it’s set to both shock and delight fans and critics alike, in a way that only Tyler the Creator seems to know how. OFWGKTA will undoubtedly put on a T in the Park show to remember.
Organisers say luxury Residence packages are still available for the weekend.
The bill also includes Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye, blink-182, Brandon Flowers, Jimmy Eat World and Miles Kane KT Tunstall, The Vaccines, Noah and the Whale, House Of Pain, Eliza Doolittle and Ke$ha are among other acts who have been named.
Professor Green, Wretch 32 and Labrinth have also been added to this year’s V Festival line-up.
