Jamiroquai cancels show as Crew Member Dies
Jamiroquai had to cancel a show in Lyon France last night in tragic circumstances after one of his crew fell to their death. Jamiroquai whose lead single is Jay Kay, were scheduled to play a show at La Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon but after the sad accident the show was cancelled. The Crew Member fell from 50 feet from a gantry above the stage. Jamiroquai issued a statement saying they were “”shocked and saddened” by the awful news.
The 26 Year Old crew member fell as he and other roadies constructed the stage for the concert, the show was part of Jamiroquai European Tour entitled Rock Dust Light Star tour. The band canncelled the show as a mark of respect and they posted a statement on their Facebook Fan Page
Due to a tragic accident at the Halle Toni Garnier Arena, the gig tonight is regrettably cancelled.
‘The band were shocked and saddened when told the news and out of respect immediately felt the right decision was to cancel the show.
A policie investigation is taking place, our thoughts are with the family of the crew member.
