Reading & Leeds announce Lock Up Stage
At 2am this morning on the Radio 1 punk show, DJ Mike Davies announced the full line-up for the hardcore haven that is the lock up stage at Reading & Leeds festival. Joining the already packed bill will be The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Descendants, as well ska punkers The King Blues, LA’s finest The Bronx (returning after a very successful set at Reading 09 as their alter egos, Mariachi El Bronx), Flogging Molly and many more.
Mike Davies, who curates the stage, commented “2011 is the year that Punk Rock broke out… again. There are so many great groups around and I truly believe that we have managed to get 24 of the best bands possible to play on the Lock Up Stage. It’s guaranteed to be the best weekend of the summer.”
The lockup stage will be at the Leeds site on the Friday and Sunday, and at Reading on the Saturday and Sunday. The only stage yet to announce is the Festival Republic stage, traditionally announced last with updates typically coming in May-June time.
