Tom Odell is set to take to the V Festival stage this summer
Brits Critics Choice Award Winner 2013, Tom Odell is already following in the footsteps of Emeli Sandé and has been confirmed to play at this year’s V Festival.
Singer/songwriter Tom Odell who was one of the first artists to be signed by Lily Allen’s record label, In The Name Of, will showcase his talent in Chelmsford and Staffordshire this August. The former music student who studied at Brighton’s Institute of Modern Music is set for a year of spectacular success and has already received phenomenal praise for his debut album Long Way Down out April 15.
As 2012 winner Emeli Sandé passed on the baton to the 22-year-old, she told him to enjoy the award and to make the most of it by keep doing what he is doing.
Following Emeli Sandé’s incredible 2012 in which she performed at the opening and closing ceremonies for the London Olympic Games and smashed the charts with her beautiful debut album ‘Our Version of Event’s as well as hitting the top spot with her collaborations with Professor Green and Labrinth, Tom Odell must be singing and dancing from the rooftops as he begins his year with the coveted award.
Previous winners of the award have also included Adele, Jessie J and Florence and the Machine – in light of their success Love Music News can confidently predict huge things for West Sussex born To¬¬m Odell.
Tom Odell’s debut album Long Way Down is out on 15 April 2013 and watch below for his stunning new single Hold Me which is out on 1 April 2013:
