The Tricks release their new single ‘Part Time Lover’
London based indie pop band The Tricks release their new single ‘Part Time Lover’ on 8th July, alongside this their own monthly club night Bop! Club which launches on Wednesday 11th July at Hysteria in East London.
The four school friends were spotted by none other than Bruce Witkin of Unison records when playing at a low key gig in London. The boys were invited almost immediately to record some tracks, as well as being given the opportunity to choose between recording in LA or London. Bruce Witkin saw himself in The Tricks’s their relaxed aspect and cheerful sounds. so he decided to give the guys the opportunity to see the bright lights and sunshine of East Coast USA, and before they knew it they were signed with an album ready to market.
Back from LA the boys completed their first UK tour; supporting Babybird, known for the infectious You’re Gorgeous which found them chart fame in 1996. The tour exposed The tricks to great things and now in a newly refurbished Hysteria, Dalston will host ‘Bop! Club’ every month starting from 11th July. The club night, will be free entry and is set to be a night for those who like to dance to pop, rock & roll, indie and northern soul.
The launch night will feature a performance from the hosts themselves, The Tricks, along with various other guest DJs.
