9 Million Tweeters Follow Lady Gaga

The American singer Lady Gaga is the first person to reach 9 million followers on twitter.

Lady Gaga became the most popular social networking celebrity last year when she over took Britney Spears who had 5.7 million followers. Since then Lady Gaga’s followers/little monsters have grown stronger over taking the likes of Justin Bieber who has 8.3 million followers making him the second most popular. The star also has 31 million fans on facebook and over a billion people have viewed her videos on Yout Tube.

Lady Gaga joined twitter back in 2008, when she first tweeted that she was rehearsing for the Just Dance Video, since then she has tweeted over 600 times not only updating but also thanking her fans/little monsters for their continuous support.

Lady Gaga rose to fame with her hit single “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” back in 2008, and is now on her second album “Born This Way” which is due to be released May 23rd 2011.  The stars “Born This Way” video hit headlines when it was reported that the video was “too weird and far too promiscuous for her young audience”. However this is not the first time Lady Gaga has hit the headlines for being a little controversial  and i am sure it wont be the last, love her or hate her you have to admit she definitely puts on a great performance.
