Online Auditions to find lead role for Tupac

Producer David Robinson and director Antoine Fuqua are providing a fantastic opportunity to find someone with the same raw talent as late rapper Tupac Shakur. To play a lead role in their new film titled Tupac which will tell the story of his rise to fame as well as the controversies in his life.
Producer David Robinson told a Hollywood Reporter: “We’re looking for someone with the right mix of raw charm and charisma for the role.
The late American rapper 2pac sold over 75 million records worldwide making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. Rapping about the hardships of inner cities, racism of the world, violence, as well as conflicts between other rappers during the east coast west coast hip hop rivalry, such as Diddy and Notorious B.I.G.
As well as rapping Tupac also appeared in several films, including, Above The Rim, a basketball story quoted as an “amazing Film. Great Story” and Gang Related with James Belushi where it is said that Tupac “Steals the show”
The films website said “We are looking for individuals who embody Tupac Shakur,”
People who would like to take part in this fantastic online audition need to download a scene and perform it on camera and record themselves rapping. Submissions are being accepted up until 30 April 2011, filming is expected to start in the summer.
