Boomtown Fair Announces First Wave of 2014 Line Up
Winchester festival Boomtown Fair announced its first wave of artists last night due to appear at the festival this August 2014.
The festival which aims to ‘take over the world with fun’ will take place from the 7th -10th of August, prides itself on providing an eclectic mix of music ranging from genres such as ska, swing, reggae, dubstep, jungle and folk.
This year’s line up will see the likes of The Cat Empire, NOFX, Boddika and even Chas and Dave joining the weekend long party.
The festival puts a great deal of emphasis on the arts and theatre ensuring there is an abundance of fun and free activities to get involved both during the day and at night.
The ‘Pop-up City’ is divided into ‘districts’ all hosting eccentric venues and a network of weird and wonderful purpose built buildings to explore.
You can choose a district depending on what genre of music you want to see creating an atmosphere unlike any other.
Boomtown is an event suitable for the whole family, even dedicating a whole ‘district’ within the city to younger audiences called ‘Kidz Town’ leaving no excuse to miss out!
This year’s ticket sales are already 3 times up on last year’s and organisers have said the festival will sell out months in advance.
With more acts yet to be announced Boomtown is certainly not one to miss this summer.
Full line up and ticket information can be found at their website
